A1: Precipitated silica is produced via wet precipitation process, featuring larger particle size (5–20 μm), moderate specific surface area and lower cost, making it the mainstream material for toothpaste production. Fumed silica is manufactured through gas-phase synthesis with finer particles, larger specific surface area and higher cost, mainly used for high-end thickening scenarios.
