PRODUCT DETAILS

1. Product Description

Film Antiblock Silica is a special anti-blocking raw material independently developed for the plastic film industry. Prepared via advanced processes such as the sol-gel method, it strictly complies with industry standards, EU EN 14639 and relevant specifications for Food Contact Materials (FCM). Based on ultra-high purity of over 99.8%, this product optimizes the particle structure and surface properties according to the characteristics of plastic films such as light transmittance, heat sealability and thinness, featuring agglomeration-free and easy dispersion. It can form a uniform "micro-protrusion" structure in film anti-blocking masterbatches, effectively reducing the adhesion between films without affecting the core indicators such as light transmittance, heat seal strength and tensile performance of films. It is suitable for the production of anti-blocking masterbatches for various plastic films including PE, PP, PVC, PET, BOPP and CPP, serving as a high-efficiency anti-blocking solution dedicated to films. Note: Silica is used to produce opening masterbatches for corresponding films, which are then applied in film production. Silica cannot be directly added to films for use.

3. Application Description

Focusing on the core anti-blocking pain points of plastic films, Film Antiblock Silica optimizes product characteristics in a targeted manner, providing efficient and professional anti-blocking support for various plastic films. The core application values are as follows:

  1. Directionally preparing film-specific anti-blocking masterbatches: The particle structure optimized for the characteristics of film resins enables uniform mixing with film-specific carrier resins such as LLDPE, PP and PET, with a filling amount of 10%-30%; no precipitation or crystal formation during masterbatch forming, no equipment wear in subsequent film blowing and casting processing. The melt flow index of the masterbatch remains stable at 2.5-3.0g/10min after adding 20% of this anti-blocking agent, meeting the requirements of high-speed film processing.
  1. Effectively solving various film adhesion problems: When the prepared anti-blocking masterbatch is added to films at 0.2%-0.8%, uniform "micro-protrusions" can be formed on the film surface, reducing the contact area between films by more than 60% and the adhesion from 500mN/25mm to below 50mN/25mm, completely solving the industry pain points such as tight winding of film rolls, high-temperature storage adhesion and low-temperature lamination adhesion of films.
  1. Maximally ensuring the core characteristics of films: Relying on film-specific surface modification technology, it has excellent compatibility with the film resin matrix and has no negative impact on the core characteristics of films such as light transmittance, heat sealability and tensile property - the light transmittance of PE film remains above 90%, the tensile strength reduction is ≤3%, the heat seal strength retention rate is ≥95%, and the 20μm thin film can also maintain excellent appearance and performance.
  1. Adapting to the anti-blocking of all types of plastic films: It can be widely used in all types of plastic films including PE (low density, linear low density), PP (homopolymer, copolymer), PVC (flexible), PET, BOPP and CPP. In PVC heat shrinkable films, it can control the haze below 5%, replacing traditional talcum powder; in PP cast films, it can solve the adhesion problem during high-temperature storage and improve the film storage stability.
  1. Improving the efficiency of film processing and application: Effectively improving the anti-blocking performance of films, helping to increase the efficiency of subsequent high-speed processes such as film slitting, printing, bag making and lamination by 30%, reducing the defective rate caused by film adhesion, and at the same time improving the opening experience of terminal packaging products, meeting the application requirements of various packaging such as food, daily chemicals and industry.

4. Factory Advantages

  • Custom modification capability: Film-specific surface modification solutions (such as modification for enhanced light transmittance and modification for improved heat seal compatibility) can be customized according to the film substrate type (e.g., PE, PP, PET), film application (food packaging, daily chemical packaging, industrial films) and processing technology (film blowing, casting, lamination), accurately matching the film anti-blocking requirements.
  • Performance stability guarantee: Adopting a fully automatic closed-loop production line, the coefficient of variation of particle size distribution is controlled to ≤10%, and the specific surface area difference between batches is ≤3%, ensuring the formula stability in the production of film anti-blocking masterbatches and avoiding film quality problems such as adhesion, haze increase and crystal points caused by the performance fluctuation of anti-blocking agents.

5. Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can this Film Antiblock Silica be used for the production of anti-blocking masterbatches for food packaging films?

A: Yes. Our products comply with food contact grade standards such as FDA 21 CFR §177.1520 and EU No 10/2011, and third-party test reports can be provided. There is no compliance risk at all in the application of anti-blocking masterbatches for PE, PET and PP films used in food packaging.

Q: How to select the parameters of this anti-blocking agent for 20μm thin PE blown films?

A: Our technical team will customize exclusive particle size and specific surface area parameters for you according to the light transmittance and formability requirements of thin films, and recommend the optimal addition amount, ensuring the anti-blocking effect while maximizing the transparency and formability of thin films.

Q: Is this film anti-blocking agent compatible with common slip agents and antistatic agents for films?

A: Yes. Our products have passed film additive-specific compatibility tests and have excellent compatibility with common slip agents (erucamide, oleamide) and antistatic agents. No chemical reaction, delamination or crystal points occurs after mixing, and they can produce a synergistic effect with slip agents to further reduce the film friction coefficient and improve the film processing performance.

Q: What is the customization cycle for Film Antiblock Silica adapted to BOPP films?

A: No long wait is needed. We have a film-specific modular surface modification production line, which can quickly switch the modification process, shortening the customization cycle for BOPP films to 7-10 days. At the same time, we provide the whole-process test data of masterbatch preparation, film forming and anti-blocking performance to help customers quickly verify the effect.
