Breaking the Bottleneck of Adsorption Technology! Zhongqi's 2024 Invention Patent Put into Use, Food-Grade Silicon Material Upgraded Again
Through the complexation and recognition of surface functional groups, it achieves efficient selective adsorption of sugars, oils and water.
Recently, the invention patent "Food-Grade Silica Material and Its Preparation Method" authorized to Zhongqi (Guangdong) Silicon Materials Co., Ltd. in June 2024 has been officially applied in industrial production. This marks a new breakthrough in China's high-end food-grade silica materials in the field of selective adsorption.
The patent innovatively uses aminated porous silica loaded with phenylboronic acid-based polymers. Through the complexation and recognition of surface functional groups, it achieves efficient selective adsorption of sugars, oils and water. Compared with traditional products, the adsorption time is shortened by 40%, and the enrichment and purification efficiency is increased to over 95%. Meanwhile, the material has excellent biocompatibility with no risk of secondary pollution, and has been successfully applied in precision batching scenarios such as infant formula powder and high-end condiments.
Zhongqi's R&D director said, "This technology solves the contradiction between 'precision impurity removal' and 'safe retention' in food processing. At present, we have received customized orders from 3 leading food enterprises, and the annual new output value is expected to exceed 20 million yuan." By 2025, Zhongqi has accumulated 16 independent intellectual property rights, among which 4 invention patents focus on the functional upgrading of food-grade silica materials.
