Experimental comparison of oil filtration effect between magnesium silicate and silica (silica gel)

The purification effect of magnesium silicate (food grade magnesium silicate) and silica dioxide (silica gel) (food grade) as oil filter powder on used edible oil (old oil) was compared

I. Objective of the experiment
The purification effect of magnesium silicate (food grade magnesium silicate) and silica dioxide (silica gel) (food grade) as oil filter powder on used edible oil (old oil) was compared, and the adsorption capacity, decolorization effect and influence on oil stability were evaluated by testing the changes of physical and chemical indexes of oil.

II. Experimental materials and instruments

class concrete content
Experimental oil Use of edible oil (e.g. frying oil, fresh old oil should be collected to avoid excessive rancidity caused by repeated use)Food grade magnesium silicate (Group A), food grade silica gel (Group B), blank control group (Group C, heated but no filter oil powder),
main  instrument Electronic balance (precision 0.0001g), pH meter, spectrophotometer (visible light zone), rotational viscometer, acid value titration device, peroxide value titration device, turbidimeter, constant temperature water bath, filter paper/filtration membrane, beaker, measuring cylinder, timer, etc Electronic balance (precision 0.0001g), pH meter, spectrophotometer (visible light zone), rotational viscometer, acid value titration device, peroxide value titration device, turbidimeter, constant temperature water bath, filter paper/filtration membrane, beaker, measuring cylinder, timer, etc
reagent Anhydrous ethanol (analytical pure), potassium hydroxide (analytical pure), potassium iodide (analytical pure), trichloromethane (analytical pure), sodium thiosulfate standard solution (0.01mol/L), phenolphthalein indicator, etc

3. Preparation before the experiment: preparation of old oil and initial index detection of old oil
Preparation of old oil for experiment:
1.Oil selection: Select clear and transparent oil as the experimental oil (the oil used in this experiment is Citi shortening).........
